2020 has been a year for the books, for some a Not so good year, in my case I had bad, double bad years before and 2020 doesn’t quite cut it, so instead I am going to say 2020 has been special, and no 2020 I’m not challenging you, I know you still not over, YET. Jokes aside, the world has been put into a huge test and had to adapt to new ways to function. For many we are trying to keep it together, personally, 2020 was supposed to be my year of healing, it didn’t work quite that way, instead I’ve grown a lot spiritually, I’ve introduced new habits that have help me to cope and adapt to the new normal. My favorite word of the year has been Gratitude, being present, grounded, and being thankful for the little things that make up the big picture.
A Different type of celebration, Christmas 2020
This year Christmas was a year where people were apart but at the same time more connected, or connected in other ways than the traditional we all meet in a place and celebrate. We are there in other means, the world seems apart but also we can be connected in other nontraditional ways
We cooked at home, and for the first time in a long time we weren’t planning to visit either part of the family, but we did have a lot of connections through Social media, watching the pictures through Instagram, we also had lots of facetime, we initially planned to do a zoom dinner, but at the end it was just the ones at home, and sending messages. We celebrated on Christmas eve the 24th, following the Hispanic tradition to do the big dinner and celebration on the 24th of December and the 25th just to hang out.
This year The message was more directed about how the world was coming and coping with the Covid19 pandemic, a different kind of grateful, while lot of our friends were and still grieving, and the new normal with masks and extra safety precautions.
So what’s next for this blog, end of 2020 to a new year 2021
This blog is an outlet of how to relate real life, with everyday digital marketing. Even though we come home or even if we work from home, there is supposed to be a separation between one and another, I don’t think it work like that all the time, the ideal would be working on the things we love.
My point being, as it comes now at the end year 2020, with this blog I’m going to be writing short, not too long entries, and hopefully will be writing more. I’m doing this because when I read other blogs if the blogs are too long, chances are I won’t be reading the whole thing, I may read the bold copy, and move on. If I’m doing research of some type, for work, life, college, etc. I may be willing to read something longer, so I’ll practice what I preach, my plan is write small concise entries and if they need part 2 or part 3, I will be indicating that.
Finally, I’ll be working on the design and adding my social media channels and making it easy to the eyes. That said, 2021 here I come, still there are a few days left, so may be writing a little bit more. I’m going to be adding pictures and occasionally short videos. Trying to keep it simple and provide quality information.
