Thankful in the Times of COVID-19

The second week of March 2020 has been one for the books, the Corona Virus AKA COVID-19 has become a pandemic and has escalated quickly, reaching every corner of the world. It’s serious very serious to the point of shutting down entire nations.

My anxiety is through the roof, not only for staying indoors but also with the idea that anyone of us can get sick, we keep our distance only go out for the essentials, walking the dog, getting groceries and the ocasional take-out.  The ideal scenario would be not going anywhere, staying at home however we are limiting contact as much as possible.

we are lucky that in today’s day in age we have the internet, and can talk with long distance friends and family. We are ok so far, and we’ll get through this

I’m so thankful I’m spending this self-lockdown in a safe place, with a loving family, and in a loving environment.

I can’t help looking back and remember that in some points of my life, I wasn’t in a safe loving home myself.  Fast forward to the present, I am in a good place, I have a real home where I can raise my child in a warm loving place, where we have each others back  in tough times, that’s priceless, and I’m so thankful for all, and not taking it for granted.
